Gunner William Barnes died in France at the age of 28. He was the husband of Maggie Barnes, of Church St., Poole, Dorset. In 1911 a William (22) and Margaret (28) were living in Levett"s Lane. They had been married for a year. Born in Dulwich, London, William was a "clay labourer". He was the son of William and Jane Barnes, of 1, Dennett"s Lane. In 1911 a William (48) and Jane (49) Barnes lived in Fowler"s Lane, Poole. Jane was born in Peckham as was her daughter.
