Alfred Dyett died in France aged 32 years. Born in Newtown, Poole to George and Alice Dyett, in 1911 he was a "general dealer" living with his parents in Ringwood Rd. In 1911 he married Elizabeth Alice Dyett and in March 1912 they baptised their daughter Gwendolyn Alice in Branksome Church. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission gives his widow"s address as 1 Rozelle, Ringwood Road, Newtown, Parkstone, Dorset. His grave inscription is "REST IN PEACE"
