Simon Fendley died in Belgium, aged 37 years. In December 1911 he married Alice Ada Clarke at Longfleet. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission gives Alice"s address as Crayford Cottage, Ringwood Rd, Newtown, Parkstone. He was the son of Simon and Mary Jane Fendley of St. Clements Rd, Newtown. He was believed to have served in the South African Campaign. 3/7866
