Story
William Grey died at the Somme, France aged 25 years. In 1911 a William Gray, born in Poole, was in barracks in India with the 2nd Dorsets. He married Ada Marian Lever in Parkstone in 15/11/15. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission says "Son of Thomas and Sarah Gray. Husband of Ada Marian Gray (nee Lever) of Coombe Bisset House, Salisbury" The Poole and Dorset Herald reported that he was the "son of Mrs T Gray of Dunford Road, Upper Parkstone. Awarded DCM and given right to wear a bar for another gallant action"
