Enid Margaret Kentish was born in Bengal, India to George Colville Arden Kentish and Margaret Fell. Their eldest daughter, we know little about her other than that in 1911 she was attending boarding school in Christchurch, and the details given at the time of her death. The Wigton Advertiser states that she was a Red Cross Nurse, whereas the Bournemouth Guardain ascertains that she was one of the, "V.A.D at Cornelia Hosptial." Enid was buried with military honours. The band of the Duke of Cornwall"s Light Infantry led her funeral procession, the coffin drawn on a gun carriage and draped with the Union Jack. Soldiers and Red Cross Nurses lined the route to St. Peter"s Church, and the Bishop of Salisbury officated. Read more about Enid on the
